I am inspired by anything beautiful. Sometime it’s a pair of eyes or flowing gorgeous hair, other times it’s the sky or a sunset. I’ve been inspired by supple skin or the texture of a soft shirt. —Nadine Velazquez
Getting inspired is a beautiful quality. I cannot imagine the existence of anybody who does not get inspired. It heals your mind and soul, gives you the strength to do better. It is like a hug!
My recent inspiration: Sudha Chandran
Sudha Chandran is a classical dancer and film and TV actress. She is known for her prosthetic leg (Jaipur foot). Her story is an example of courage and will power.
She met with an accident while travelling. She hurt both her legs and was treated in a hospital near Madras. Call it fate or carelessness of the doctor, her right leg had a wound as well as fracture and the doctor without noticing the wound plastered her leg. The wound developed gangrene and had to be amputed.
We can only imagine what that meant for a dancer. But she did not let that affect her love and passion for dance. She made a comeback after mere 2 years of the accident. She has performed and represented India in countries like U.K, Europe, Canada, Middle East etc…
Her story has been made into a movie, Mayuri. At 51, she still looks gorgeous and continues to work.
She truly is an inspiration. Hats off to her!
